Suspension policy for player misconduct
Game suspensions are a frequent source of confusion that I would like to
clear up and explain SCASA’s policy.
When a player is given, for example, a 2 game suspension, it
really means that player is ineligible to play in any WSSA league game for a
period of 2 weeks. The reason it is weeks instead of games is because
if we allowed players to utilize games from other divisions then we would
have to confirm that they have actually been rostered on that team plus
players would want to start negotiating which games they get to miss and
which ones they wanted to play. All of this would create an administrative
nightmare and make the justice’s job much more difficult (remember this is a
volunteer position).
Tournament games are an exception to the policy above. Tournament game
suspensions are measured in terms of games and not weeks. The intent of this
was really to be fair to players who enter a tournament (and have maybe
traveled to get there) and receive a red card early in the tournament.
Rather than forcing them to pack their bags and go home, they are allowed to
serve the suspension and finish whatever portion of the tournament remains.
The above administrative issues also do not pertain to tournaments since we
already know they are rostered.

writing, accompanied by a fee of fifty dollars ($50) and be postmarked within
48 hours of notification of said decision.
